East Rutherford, NJ — Meadowlands Racetrack will offer two brand new $100,000 races for 4-year-olds when the Championship Meet begins in May.

The Meadowlands Maturity provides an opportunity for 4-year-olds to gradually transition into the older ranks with a start for a significant purse against their own age group in the early part of the season. The trotting race is on Saturday (May 4) and the pace comes two weeks later.

The purse will consist of $75,000 in added money, coupled with the declaration fee of $2,500. There are no conditions other than being a foal of 2009 nor any other fees to be paid. The race shall be limited to the top ten lifetime money winners as of the date of declaration.
