64-1 winner sparks healthy payoffs at Northfield Park

Northfield, OH — Lima Adore was an upset winner in Northfield Park’s fourth race on Friday (April 12). Ryan Stahl capably piloted the mare for owner Donald Blake and trainer Jody Blake.

Lima Adore (Precious Bunny-Armbro Bonjour) followed live cover before taking the lead approaching the top of the stretch and eventually holding the lead by a mere nose, stopping the timer at 2:00. Friday’s triumph increased Lima Adore’s lifetime wins tally to 12 and her career earnings to $34,123.

The favorite finished off the board as Lima Adore (64-1) was followed across the wire by Dream Misty (8-5), Longlegacy (28-1) and Some Little Star (6-1).

Lima Adore returned $130.60 to win; 8-1 exacta paid $745.00; 8-1-6 trifecta returned $13,019.20 and the 8-1-6-9 10 cent superfecta paid $2,142.91.

Umygeorgia Hanover paced home for her third straight win on Friday in Northfield Park’s third race. The 5-year-old is owned by the partnership of Cathy Watson, Richard Smith, Mark Martin and Nichole Gagnon.

Gagnon also trains the mare and has called upon her fiance, Ryan Stahl, to pilot Umygeorgia Hanover in all three of her most recent victories.

Umygeorgia Hanover led at every call through fractions of :28, :57.2, 1:27 and 1:55.3. She won by 4-3/4 lengths over her closest competitor, Fly To The Angels (Chris Page), in a new lifetime mark.

Friday’s triumph increased Umygeorgia Hanover’s (Camluck-Up Front Georgia) lifetime wins tally to 13 and her career earnings to $62,884. She was the overwhelming favorite and returned $2.80 to win.

Chris Page drove five winners on Friday at Northfield Park.

Page’s winners included Baubletime ($6.00) in race six, CG Satin ($6.20) in race seven, Y Mach Me ($8.20) in race 10, Spectacular Amber ($3.40) in race 11 and Moira’s Intended ($3.20) in race 12.

The 29-year-old Page started driving in 2000 and has since garnered 1,891 career victories and is approaching $7 million in purse earnings. Page leads the Northfield Park 2013 drivers’ standings. He has driven 133 winners this year at Northfield and leads Tyler Smith by 14 victories. Ryan Stahl (68), Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. (55) and Keith Kash, Jr. (52) complete the top five.

Chris Page has garnered 156 total victories so far in 2013, ranking him as the fifth winningest driver in North America. Only Corey Callahan, Dave Palone, Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. and Brian Sears have more wins this year than Chris Page.
