Harrington, DE — Harrington Raceway’s 67th year of live harness racing will get underway on April 21. A new service will be available to horsemen who wish to participate, in the form of a text message alert system.

The service will be used to alert horsemen when horses are needed for specific classes on draw days and to broadcast messages of urgency.

Horsemen who wish to sign up for this service, may call the race office at 302.398.5970 or send an e-mail with their cell phone number to msparacino@harringtonraceway.com.

The first draw for the Harrington meet is April 16.

Racing will be conducted on a Sunday through Thursday schedule until June 9, when the schedule will shift to Sunday through Wednesday until June 26. There will be one evening of live racing during the Delaware State Fair on July 25 (special 7 p.m. post time) before a Monday through Thursday schedule commences on August 12 for the summer/fall meet.

Post time is 5:30 p.m. nightly.
