Doc’s Zhivago was a wire-to-wire winner in a time of 1:56.

The 9-year-old is owned by Mitchell Standardbreds Inc. of Jacksonville, Fla., and is trained by Brian Georges. Chris Page has driven the gelding for all three of his most recent victories even though the first two wins were at Lebanon Raceway.

Doc’s Zhivago led at every call through fractions of :28.3, :58.2, 1:27.2 and 1:56 over a sloppy surface. He appeared well in hand, winning by 1-1/2 lengths over his closest competitor, Custer’s Last Stand (Jason Thompson).

Monday’s triumph increased Doc’s Zhivago’s (Cams Eclipse-Armbro Whisk-Matt’s Scooter) lifetime wins tally to 19 and his career earnings to $95,582. He returned $12.20 to win.
