Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. posts 10-win night at Northville

Northville, MI — Driver Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. had a monster night on Friday (Feb. 22) at Northville Downs as he made 10 trips to the winner’s circle on the 14-race card.

Wrenn opened the night by sweeping the first four races, returning to victory lane with Ilikethesun ($3.40), Lil Be Dazzeld ($3.80), Songonbroadway ($4.60) and Thatswhattheysay ($3.80).

After finishing fourth in the fifth race, Wrenn was back in the winner’s circle in race six with Sweet Carol Ann ($3.00).

Wrenn had off the board finishes in races seven and eight, then posted his sixth win of the night in race nine behind R B Spirit ($8.20). He also scored in the tenth and 11th races with Doowrah Omelet ($3.80) and Ee Bay ($6.60).

After a sixth place finish in race 12, Wrenn capped off his night by winning the final two races behind Blah Blah Blah ($6.20) and Chubby Squirrel ($3.80).

Wrenn, the 2011 Rising Star of the Year as selected by the Michigan Harness Horsemen’s Association, won 150 times that year, while horses he drove earned $499,035. His numbers rose to 436 victories in 2012 and his mounts banked $1,545,337.

So far this year, the 26-year-old Wrenn has won 75 races, which ties him for fifth place among all drivers in North America.
