Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 7-10, Saturday, Jan. 19, 2012
$1 play: 48/3/4-10/29-10-11 = $24.00
Good card again tonight and a very difficult Pick 4 sequence in the late Pick 4.
Analysis:
Race 7: TREND SPOTTER (4) is an obvious favorite and not a strong one. IDEAL MATTERS (8) qualified well, gets a key driver change to Tetrick, won over this track last year.
Race 8: TAKEMEWITHYOU (3) showed speed and was shuffled, drops. I’m going to single this one just to keep the cost down. My singles have been doing great but I still haven’t hit a pick 4 so far this meet.
Race 9: MUSSELSFRMBRUSSELS (4) is 8-1 on the morning line and my Best Bet tonight. Has missed a few weeks but Allard can get them ready and this horse has some class. I’ll also use EASTEND EDDIE (10) from post 10 off the snappy qualifier for Burke.
Race 10: This race is about as tough as it gets to handicap. A wide open $15k claimer with 12 horses. BOILER BOB THE QB (10) is my top pick from post 10 for Burke and Gingras but I’m also using the 2, 9, and 11 in a race that figures to be won by a longshot.
