Voelz Hanover back to defend Forest City Pace title

London, ON — Defending champion Voelz Hanover is one of 11 top older pacing mares entered in this Friday night’s (Nov. 9) Forest City Pace eliminations at The Raceway at The Western Fair District.

Voelz Hanover won the 2011 Forest City Pace.
The 7-year-old daughter of Astreos is quietly putting together another stellar campaign for Quebec owner Richard Berthiaume and trainer Ben Baillargeon. She has added five more wins to her resume this season while banking $192,823.
Voelz Hanover sits with just under $1.3 million earned lifetime and is one of five millionaires in the group. The others are 2012 Milton champion Rocklamation, 2011 Breeders Crown champion Monkey On My Wheel, 2010 Bluegrass champion Ticket To Rock and 2010 Blue Chip Matchmaker champion Ginger And Fred.
The field of 11 has been divided into two splits with the top four finishers from each qualifying for the C$200,000 final on Saturday (Nov. 17).
