Ceremony for Won The West’s retirement to Kentucky Horse Park

Lexington, KY — The Kentucky Horse Park will welcome multiple Breeders Crown winning Standardbred Won The West to the Hall of Champions with a special event to be held on Saturday (Oct. 6) at 10:15 a.m.

Won The West will retire to the Kentucky Horse Park on Oct. 6.

“We are thrilled to retire Won The West here to the Kentucky Horse Park Hall of Champions, where his fans will have the opportunity to visit with him for many years to come,” said Kathy Hopkins, Horse Park Director of Equine Operations and Education. “Mayor Jim Gray has declared Oct. 6 ‘Won The West Day’ in Lexington.

Everyone is welcome to attend the ceremony.

Admission to the Horse Park will not be charged for those attending this event and shuttles will be provided from the Visitor Information Center to the Hall of Champions. Coffee and cookies will be served at the ceremony.
