Freehold, NJ — Three-year-old filly trotter Check Me Out, who has won three races in a row and nine of 11 this season, regained the No. 1 spot in the weekly Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll. Check Me Out was idle last weekend after winning the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes championship in a world-record 1:51.3.
Chapter Seven, who finished second by a head to Hot Shot Blue Chip in the Credit Winner at Vernon Downs, dropped from first to second in the poll.
The only newcomer to the Top 10 was Foiled Again, who won the Canadian Pacing Derby on September 1 to become the richest pacer in North American harness racing history and followed up the triumph with a victory in the Open last weekend at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.
