Columbus, OH — Guy Douglas Malone, 73, of Waterford, Ohio, died Sept. 6, 2012, at his home.

He was born Feb. 28, 1939, in St. Marys, W.Va., to Todd and Grethel Beaver Malone.

Mr. Malone was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He retired in 1997 from Kardex Systems.

He loved horse racing, was a member of the USTA and was a driver/trainer for 40 years.

Mr. Malone is survived by his wife of 42 years, Diana Lynn Cobb Malone; children, Andy and Mindy (Aaron) Vaughn; grandchildren, Tyler and Maria Fisher; siblings, Martha Hart and Denzil (Dora); and his in-laws, Stan and Louise Cobb. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Glen and Carol.

There will be a private graveside services held at the convenience of the family.
