Fourteen-year-old Whitlock N earned win No. 64 and crossed over the $250,000 mark in career earnings. Kevin Switzer was in the bike.

The 14-year-old son of Falcon Seelster rallied for a well-earned victory at Scarborough Downs on Saturday (Sept. 1), visiting the winner’s circle for the 64th time in his illustrious career while crossing over the quarter of a million dollar mark in career earnings. The majority of those dollars were earned right here in the State of Maine.

Owned and trained by Kenneth Sumner of Mechanic Falls, Maine, Whitlock N faces mandatory retirement at the conclusion of his 14-year-old season and will be participating in Scarborough Downs’ Standardbred retirement ceremony in December.

Trainer Randy Bickmore had three consecutive wins on the Saturday program in races four, five and six.

Live racing continues at the Seaside Oval on Sunday with a 1:05 p.m. post time.
