Toronto, ON — Seven 3-year-old colt pacers were entered Thursday (August 16) for the Ontario Sires Stakes Gold elimination scheduled to be contested on Sunday (August 19) at Rideau Carleton Raceway.

The OSS rules state that if there are not more horses entered in the elimination than can compete in the final, the elimination will be canceled and all horses will be considered declared directly into the final to be held the following week. Therefore, the Gold elimination for 3-year-old colt pacers scheduled for August 19 at Rideau Carleton is canceled.

The Gold final will be held on Sunday (August 26) as scheduled and the post positions will be drawn on Sunday (August 19), when the final would normally have been drawn.

According to OSS rules concerning the points for the Super Final, the 100 points from the canceled elimination will be distributed equally between the seven horses that entered the event.

The field for the Final (in alphabetical order): Goban, Hard To Mach, I Found My Beach, Mel Mara, Michael’s Power, Secretsofthenight and Warrawee Needy.
