Elora, ON — Jody Jamieson took the microphone — and the spotlight — in a special Wednesday night edition of From Bike To Mic on July 18 at Grand River Raceway.
A staple of the track’s Fun & Frivolity Friday Night cards, the series puts harness drivers in the announcer’s booth to call a race.

Jody Jamieson called the seventh race on Wednesday at Grand River Raceway.
Jamieson called race seven, the F&M Preferred Pace. His animated call borrowed shamelessly from a medley of other announcers’ catch phrases, and included a full field of nicknames for his fellow reinsmen.
The race was won by the Tan Tornado, ‘Scotty Too Hottie’ Coulter with Roca Rei in 1:54.2. It was the 4-year-old mare’s fifth win this season, and her second consecutive score at Grand River Raceway for trainer Richard Moreau and owner John Gryszczuk.
Jamieson is a two-time winner of the World Driving Championship, a three-time O’Brien Award winner and a three-time winner of Grand River Raceway’s signature race, the C$300,000 Battle of Waterloo.
The next guest announcer on From Bike To Mic will be announced on Friday.
