Harness Handicapping Challenge at the halfway point

from TrackMaster

Mountain View, CA — We’re halfway through the eight weekly qualifying rounds of the TrackMaster Harness Handicapping Challenge and the tickets to the final round, where $3,500 in cash prizes will be awarded, continue to be earned. Another chance to earn your spot is this coming Saturday, with contest entries already open.

Last week’s qualifying round finished up with “ozziej” coming out on top. Focusing all his efforts on one track, Balmoral Park last Saturday night, he picked three winners that paid $11.40, $17.80 and the big longshot of the night $52.40 (which for contest purposes was capped at 20-1). When all was said and done a final bankroll score of $1,780 was enough to capture top honors for the week.

There’s another chance to qualify every Saturday through July 28, culminating with the final round on Hambletonian Day on August 4. Don’t miss out on your chance to be part of the action and show off your skills. TrackMaster will be providing free handicapping products, a different one each week, to support the contest.

Co-sponsored by TrackMaster, TVG and the USTA, the format of the challenge is pretty simple. There will be eight weeks of qualifying rounds with each Saturday a brand new chance to play and earn a spot in the finals. You’ll have a contest bankroll of $500 to make exactly 10 wagers of $50 each on horses to win. You’ll have the ability to pick and choose from any harness tracks, races and horses you like (US and Canada only).

The finals will be comprised of 30 players, the top three bankrolls from each of the weekly rounds plus six wild cards rewarding frequent and successful players. The wild cards are the three players who pick the most winners (minimum odds 1-1), and the highest ROIs (minimum 50 plays). Remember, there is no requirement to play every round and each week you get a fresh bankroll to wager.
