Campbellville, ON — Woodbine Entertainment Group has introduced a new series to Mohawk’s summer stakes schedule, the Girls’ Night Out Pacing Series.

Girls’ Night Out, which will consist of two preliminary legs and a final, is for older pacing mares, who were non-winners of C$30,000 in 2012 as of midnight July 1, with a minimum of five starts this year. Winners of over C$100,000 in 2011 are ineligible.

The C$20,000 first leg will be contested on Friday (July 27), with the C$30,000 second leg taking place one week later on August 3. Twelve horses with the highest point earnings in the series will advance to the C$50,000 final on Friday (August 10).

The final is slated for the same night as the Girls’ Night Out extravaganza in the trackside tent, where one luck lady will win the Madonna Prize Pack, valued at over C$2,000. Visit www.MohawkRacetrack.com to get more details.

To nominate a mare to the new series a fee of C$100 will be accepted until Monday (July 16).

Nominations can be made online at this link.

If sending nominations by mail, envelopes must be clearly postmarked no later than the said due date or payment will not be accepted. Registered mail is recommended.
