Winning It remains unbeaten in Tender Loving Care

East Rutherford, NJ — Winning It posted her second straight victory in the Tender Loving Care Series for 3-year-old pacing fillies on Thursday night (Feb. 9) at Meadowlands Racetrack, capturing the lone $12,500 division of the second leg of the series in a time of 1:54.1.

Owned by Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi and The Panhellenic Stable, the Dragon Again-Day After Day lass paid $2.40 to win in scoring her fifth win in five lifetime starts and second as a sophomore.

Driver Yannick Gingras put the Ron Burke trainee on the point by the :58 half-mile marker and she cut back-half fractions of 1:26.3 and 1:54.1. Winning It held off a fast closing Jamie Sue (Tim Tetrick) by a half-length, with Air Guitar Hanover (John Campbell) third.

There were a trio of divisions in the second leg of the Junior Trendsetter Series for 3-year-old pacing colts and geldings on Thursday. The opener went to Johnny and Kimberley Waite’s LLC Delight (Yannick Gingras) in a time of 1:53.4. The Johnny Waite trainee paid $52.20 to win in upsetting heavily favored Social Network (David Miller) by a head. Jimmy Whizbang was third for driver Ron Pierce. LLC Delight is a son of Bettor’s Delight-Jett Away.

In the second division, The Wiz Kids Stable’s Take A Walk won his second straight in the series, taking the lead at the opening quarter and never looking back in posting a 1:52 score by 4-3/4 lengths over the dead heat duo of I’m The Pied Piper (John Campbell) and Upfront Countryboy (Brandon Simpson). Ron Pierce was in the bike for trainer Tony Dinges as Take A Walk (I Am A Fool-Walk Of Shame) returned an $8.00 win mutuel.

The final division went to Eric Ell and John Emmons’ Eastwood Blue Chip, who also won his second straight in the series, this time in a clocking of 1:53.1. Daniel Dube was in the bike for co-owner/trainer Eric Ell as the Dragon Again-Shes Smashing geldiing scored by 1-3/4 lengths over Big League (John Campbell) with favored Arts Ideal Hanover (Ron Pierce) finishing third.
