Carol Vanderhyde, 67, dies

Columbus, OH — Carol Lynn Vanderhyde, 67, died at home on Feb. 1, 2012.

She built, owned, and operated “Coiffures By Carol” in Kent City, Mich.

Mrs. Vanderhyde and her husband, David, shared a passion for horses; they loved watching foals raised on their farm grow up and race at harness tracks across the U.S. and Canada.

She was a member of the Michigan Harness Horsemen’s Association, the USTA and Mary Queen of Apostles church in Sand Lake.

Mrs. Vanderhyde is survived by her husband of 48 years, David; sons, Davey (Debbie) and Chad; grandsons, Cody and Connor; father, Thayne Robinson; brother, Alvin (Mary) Robinson; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Florence (Emmons) Robinson; and brother, Calvin.
