Lexington, KY — The Northern Kid Partners group has extended an invitation to an Open House and stallion showing for Kentucky’s new trotting stallion Northern Kid that will be held Sunday (February 5) from 12-2 p.m. at Walnut Hall Stock Farm in Lexington, Ky., where he will be standing for the 2012 breeding season.

The stallion showing will be at 1 p.m. and lunch will be served. Visitors may also register to win several prizes, including a free 2012 booking to Northern Kid.

Northern Kid 2,1:58.3; 3,1:57.1 has sired one small crop of racing age that already has three sub-2:00 performers including the 2011 Illinois stakes-winning filly Maevey Gravy 2,1:58.2. He is a son of Muscles Yankee and the American Winner mare Swift Kid Hanover, the same “Golden Cross” that produced world champion Muscle Hill 3,1:50.1 ($3,273,342).

The Northern Kid Partners group, which includes Walnut Hall Stock Farm’s Dr. James Sautter, agreed that Northern Kid would be a good option for Kentucky breeders, who have only a few choices when it comes to trotting sires. His stud fee will be $850.
