Toscano wins SRF’s Prix d’Amerique raffle

from the Standardbred Retirement Foundation

Hamilton, NJ — New Jersey based trainer Linda Toscano, trainer of this year’s Breeders Crown champion Chapter Seven, has her sights on Paris as she is the winner of the Standardbred Retirement Foundation’s Prix d’Amerique trip this year.

What a year for her and it ends so well with her ticket as the winning one.

The trip includes an airfare voucher of up to $1,800, five days and four nights at a four star hotel in Paris with tours of Standardbred farms and training centers, a cocktail party at Vincennes and the Prix d’Amerique.

The raffle, a fundraiser for SRF, will help feed and care for the more than 175 horses SRF is currently providing full care for in hopes of finding a home, and also help with the youth programs in 2012.

How coincidental for Toscano to win the trip. So many horses of hers have names that reflect family members, events, and more. Jet Laag, still the horse who ranks as her favorite from all that she has trained, is what she will feel after the eight hour flight to Paris, but it certainly will be well worth it.

SRF would like to congratulate Linda Toscano and thank everyone who participated in this exciting way to raise funds for harness racing’s horses in need.
