by Mike Wandishin, for Rosecroft Raceway

Ft. Washington, MD — Saturday evening racing returns to Rosecroft on Oct. 22 at 6:45 p.m. and the eight-race card features two Winners Over races, one for each gait.

In the trotting opener, a select field of six goes postward. Combined this field has over a million dollars in earnings and over 100 wins. William Moffett’s Good Feeling is the favorite despite the outside post and has won more than $50,000 this year, facing top classes in Delaware. The 8-year-old gelded son of Fill V has more than 30 times and earned more than $330,000 in his career and will be driven by Donnie Russell.

The seventh race also features winners of more than $1 million lifetime with almost 100 wins. Starting from the seven post, Beachwood Terror, trained by Sherif Cunmulaj and driven by Donnie Russell, is the one to beat at 6-5. This one has been facing extremely tough competition since being claimed in August and has won in 1:49.2 this season on the five-eighths-mile track at Pocono. He’s coming in off a sick scratch in his last and will need to be at his best here.

Rosecroft wishes to remind horsemen that qualifiers will be held on Wednesday morning (Oct. 26) at 10 a.m. and entries for these races will be accepted until 2 p.m. on Monday (Oct. 24).
