Whos Up Whos Down wins Bob Mitchell Memorial Final

Berlin, MDOcean Downs Racetrack celebrated the Fourth of July with a fireworks display and had the first leg in the Lionel Massey Memorial Pacing Series and the Bob Mitchell Memorial Pacing Series Final.

Donnie Russell and Whos Up Whos Down won the $19,800 Bob Mitchell Memorial Final in 1:57.1. Whos Up Whos Down, by Western Ideal, is trained by Michael Hall and owned by Garth Bechtel and Glenn Bechtel. The 3-year-old filly has only five races under her belt and has won $18,625.

In the first division of the Lionel Massey Memorial Pacing Series, driver Tony Morgan and Lilwobbydobby captured first place with a 10 length victory in 1:55.2. The 4-year-old gelding is trained by David McCaffrey, who shares ownership with Z Tam Stables LLC.

Victor Kirby and Ezy Passn started from post position eight and won the second split in the Massey Series in 1:57.3. Ezy Passn is a 3-year-old gelding by Cams Fortune and is owned by Rhonda Smith and trained by Joseph Hundertpfund, Jr.

In the last division of the Massey Series, Allan Davis drove Bad Man Sam to victory in 1:56.3. Bad Man Sam is a 3-year-old gelding and is trained and owned by Donald Leager. The gelding is by Badlands Hanover.
