Cold Mist was a 2:01.2 winner for George Brennan.

Cold Mist, with the Lismore Pace on her dance card, was a handy victress in the $15,000 sixth race. Racing from off the pace in her small-track debut, the daughter of McArdle won by 1-1/4 lengths while getting the mile and one-sixteenth in 2:01.2.

It was the fourth career win for Cold Mist ($2.20), who banked just under $250,000 as a frosh. Trainer Steve Elliott co-owns along with Old Block Stables and Kenneth Klein.

“I was pleased. For her first start on a half, I liked what I saw,” driver George Brennan — six winners in 10 assignments on the 11-race card — said after his test drive.

Brennan and Art Rooney Pace entrant Arockin Hanover wound up a first-up second in the $18,000 ninth race. The Rocknroll Hanover gelding grabbed the lead in the early stretch as the 9-10 favorite before bring outfinished by American Rage (Jordan Stratton) in an added-distance 2:01.4.

Yonkers Raceway presents those two stakes events for 3-year-olds on Saturday night (June 4), with the aforementioned $307,734 Art Rooney Pace and the $197,634 Lismore Pace. Undefeated (15-for-15) New York-bred filly See You At Peelers takes on the boys in the Rooney.
