Yonkers, NY — On Thursday (May 5), the Standardbred Owners Association of New York was proud to recognize two of the Yonkers Raceway driving colony’s shining stars on the occasion of their respective lifetime achievements.

In the Yonkers winner’s circle are (left to right) SOA director Chris Wittstruck, Jason Bartlett, SOA vice president John Brennan, Daniel Dube, and SOA president Joseph Faraldo.

Maine native Jason Bartlett, the United States representative to the World Driving Championship in 2009, and who has been selected to represent America once again in 2011, was recognized for reaching the 4,000 win plateau on Tuesday, May 3.

Bartlett’s feat followed the Monday, May 2, achievement by Quebec native Daniel Dube in winning his 7,000th career race. The regular pilot for Horses of the Year Gallo Blue Chip and Rock N Roll Heaven, as well as other standouts, Dube won the 1994 International Driving Championship in Moscow, Russia, representing his native Canada.

The SOA of NY is proud that these two veterans won their milestone races at the Hilltop oval, and even prouder that they choose to display their tremendous talents here as members of our deep driving contingent on a nightly basis.
