Kirby Stable wins three at Harrington

Harrington, DE — Trainer/driver Victor Kirby was a perfect 3-for-3 with horses in his stable Wednesday at Harrington Raceway, including a 1:56 win in the $18,600 Open Trot with Chris Glaccio’s Allmar Surprise ($5.20).

Allmar Surprise was one of three winners on the card for the Victor Kirby Stable.

The 6-year-old Angus Hall mare out-finished Master In Charge to the finish for a one length score. Photo Maxx was third. It was her seventh win of the season as her career earnings soared to more than $305,000. Allmar Surprise is the current track record holder at Harrington for aged mares (1:55.3).

Kirby also won races with Windcross ($2.80), owned by Kirby and Matt Ivory, and Steve & Peter Marsh’s Deliver Delovin ($6.20) out of his stable to cap the hat trick.

Saratoga Casino and Raceway
Heza Star Cruiser was the pacing star on a dreary Wednesday evening at Saratoga Casino and Raceway. The Rob Harmon trained 4-year-old pacer rattled off his second consecutive victory and third win in four tries, setting a lifetime mark of 1:57 in the process. Leading driver Billy Dobson wasted no time in sending the 1-2 public choice to the lead at the start, a lead that would grow late to a margin of 8-1/2 lengths. Heza Star Cruiser (Yankee Cruiser) continues to display versatility as the sophomore pacer followed up his first over victory last time with the front running score on Wednesday over the off going at the Spa.
