Monticello, NY — The fourth preliminary leg of the North American Amateur Drivers Association’s Spring two-track trotting series will be contested at Yonkers Raceway on Thursday evening (April 21).

Two short-field divisions will go to post beginning at 6:15 p.m. and they will mark the final prelims at Yonkers. However, the $12,000 finale on Thursday, May 5, will be contested over the Hilltop oval.

The first split, a five-horse field, will feature Dave Offenberg, who reined Double Strength to victory two weeks ago at Yonkers. Offenberg will again be up behind Double Strength when the veteran trotter leaves from the five hole.

The second split, with only four horses, features Dave Yarock, who last week won the Monticello Raceway leg with Biggerthebetter. On Thursday he’ll handle S A Poster Boy and start from post position two.

The amateur drivers earn points depending on where they finish in each of the preliminary legs and when the final prelim is raced at Monticello Raceway next Thursday (April 28) the top point earners will get a chance to compete in the $12,000 series final.

The current point leaders are as follows: Alan Schwartz (17), Bob Krivelin (16), Dave Yarock (13), Dave Offenberg (12), Bob Hechkoff (11), Joe Faraldo (8), Joe Bongiorno (8), Gerry Fielding (6), Laura MacNamara (6), Eric Taddeo (4) and Peter Gerry (2).
