Ruth Cook, 97, dies

Columbus, OH — Ruth I. Cook, 97, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, died April 11, 2011.

Mrs. Cook was a former member of the USTA. Her late husband, Lester Cook, owned and trained horses, as does her daughter, Karon (Cook) Compston. They raced all over the state of Ohio as well as other states and Canada.

She enjoyed going to all the county fairs.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Cook was also preceded in death by her son, James, on Dec. 18, 2010.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 13, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Bringman-Clark Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, at the funeral home.
