Andy Miller hits 7,000 career wins

East Rutherford, NJ — Driver Andy Miller hit the 7,000-win milestone in the second race on Friday night (Jan. 28) at Meadowlands Racetrack.

Andy Miller drove his 7,000th career winner on Friday night.

Miller steered Odds On Riesling to victory in 1:53.3 for trainer Carl Porcelli.

A 42-year-old Illinois native, Miller moved to New Jersey in 2006 and has ranked as one of the leading drivers at the Meadowlands each year since.

His wife, Julie, is among the track’s leading trainers and together they have campaigned world champion trotter Lucky Jim to $1.5 million in earnings over the past two seasons.

The Millers live in Millstone Township, N.J., and have two children, T.J. and Olivia.

Eustis to discuss his ‘Hero’ on Saturday’s In The Sulky

Charles Eustis III, trainer of the undefeated St Elmo Hero, will be the featured In The Sulky guest on Meadowlands Racetrack’s Saturday night pre-card broadcast. St Elmo Hero bids for his 23rd consecutive victory in the $65,000 Complex Series Final on Saturday night.

Prix d’Amerique simulcast set for Sunday

Racing fans can watch and wager on the most prestigious trotting event in France on Sunday morning at the Meadowlands.

Gates open at 9 a.m. for the special simulcast, which includes the Prix d’Amerique and six other races from Vincennes Racecourse. The Prix d’Amerique is race three with a post time of 9:20 a.m.

Wagering is also available through New Jersey Account Wagering at www.4njbets.com.
