Foxland was a 1:54 winner on Sunday.
Tony Morgan, driving Foxland, sat second behind pacesetter M A Roy (Ron Pierce) before outpacing his rival in the stretch on the way to a 1:54 victory in the $16,500 pace. The victory was the second in a row for the Curragh Racing Stable-owned Badlands Hanover-Fox Valley Hooker gelding. Highbeam Rusty N (Brad Hanners) finished third.
In a $14,000 pace for young females, Bill Cantrell’s Eyeseefame, piloted by Matt Kakaley, held off a fast-finishing Magnetic Draw (Sean Bier) in 1:56. It was the first local win for the Cambest-Cleopatra 4-year-old since moving East from Ohio last month. Let’s Get Fizzical (Ross Wolfenden) was the show finisher.
In another $14,000 distaff pace, Corey Callahan moved My Juliana’s Girl, racing fourth on the outside, three-wide to get the lead on the final turn and then won easily in 1:55.2 for his third of four winners. Cookie Money (Ron Pierce) came on to finish second in front of Community Spirit (Vic Kirby).
