VIP to offer one percent shares in Rocknroll Hanover yearlings

With summer and fall initiatives, including national ownership exposure on NBC during the Hambletonian broadcast, participating with the USTA in the first annual Back To The Track promotion, a free Win a Horse contest and encouraging all its members to join in a local grassroots effort to save racing in Illinois and New Jersey, VIP is now making it even more enticing for new people to join in on the excitement of harness racing.

To keep the momentum of renewed enthusiasm stemming from Friday’s news surrounding the future of the Meadowlands, VIP Stable is now offering one percent shares in five different New Jersey-sired yearlings. Three of these five yearlings are by the red hot super sire Rocknroll Hanover, while two others are by Yankee Glide and Cam’s Card Shark.

“We are thrilled that racing in our home base of New Jersey has gotten a reprieve,” said VIP Stable’s Tom Janes. “We are using this opportunity to give fans of harness racing the opportunity to own a piece of a top level yearling at levels affordable to virtually everyone.”

These five yearlings (among 20 others) are already in training and doing well in Florida with trainer John Butenschoen. The big advantage for these horses training at their base in Florida is the warmer climate and less days missed from training due to wintry elements up north such as snow and ice. The goal will be to have this group of yearlings ready to hit the track and race by July.
