McNair looks for milestone win at Western Fair

from Western Fair Media Relations

London, ON — If Doug McNair’s luck is a little better today than it was yesterday, he could make history. The 20-year-old has 10 drives on Western Fair’s 12 race program and if he wins just one, he’ll become the youngest driver to win 1,000 races.

McNair missed the first five races on Monday’s (Dec. 13) program when his flight from New Jersey was delayed and his keys wouldn’t work in his car. When he did make it the first horse he drove, and the heavy favorite in his race, broke stride.

He’ll discuss this past season and the quest to become the youngest driver to reach 1,000 wins with Greg Blanchard on the pre-game show before today’s races at Western Fair. The show begins at 3:05 p.m.

Questions for Doug may be sent to gblanchard@westernfair.com. Those unable to watch the interview live may view it on Western Fair’s youtube channel.

Program pages and live video for the card are available at www.westernfair.com. Western Fair offers two Win-4s daily with a 15 percent take out.
