Toronto, ON — After being purchased for C$31,000 at the Fall Extravaganza Mixed Sale at Flamboro Downs last month, Mach Lady has turned in back-to-back victories for her new connections as she captured the single Autumn Stakes elimination for 2-year-old filly pacers tonight at Woodbine Racetrack.

Mach Lady prevailed as the 1/5 favorite to stop the clock in 1:56.

The daughter of Mach Three got away third for driver Jody Jamieson as Giddy Up Bella (Paul MacDonell) was quickest off the gate taking her rivals past the opening quarter in :28.2.

With four scratches from tonight’s event and Highland Candy Bar making a costly break at the start, MacDonell was able to go unchallenged by his rivals as he posted middle-half speed of :57.2 and 1:25.

Around the final turn, Jamieson pulled on the right line and sent his charge first-over on pace-setter Giddy Up Bella. As the six fillies entered the stretch, Mach Lady and Giddy Up Bella were strides apart but Mach Lady would prevail as the 1/5 favorite to stop the clock in 1:56. Wiskywisky Nancy O (Mike Saftic) shook loose from a pocket trip to finish second with Giddy Up Bella fading to third in the final strides.

Trained by Bill Davis for owners Jeffery and Debbie Elchuk, Mach Lady posted her third career victory and increased her freshman earnings to $46,230. The connections have selected post 4 for the C$50,000 final which goes to post next Thursday at Woodbine Racetrack. The field will line up as follows:

1) Emerald Dahlia
2) Highland Candy Bar
3) Iemma Machine Baby
4) Mach Lady
5) Sign O The Rainbow
6) Blue Monster
7) Giddy Up Bella
8) Wiskywisky Nancy O
