Chester, PA — It was a banner day for Tim Tetrick on Monday (Nov. 29) at Harrah’s Chester as he made seven visits to the winner’s circle.

Tetrick took the overnight featured $32,000 Open Handicap Pace with Hypnotic Blue Chip in 1:49.3. He also laid claim to a second overnight event and three divisions of the I-95 Late Closing Series for older pacers. Most impressively, however, was one of his two wins in the Blue Route Late Closing Series for 3- and 4-year-old pacers, driving St Elmo Hero ($3.40) to his 16th career victory in as many starts.

St Elmo Hero ran his career record to 16-for-16 on Monday.

Racing mainly in the Midwest until now, John Barnard’s St Elmo Hero sat a pocket trip behind Meirs Hanover (Yannick Gingras) in their $20,000 split of the Blue Route. Past a three-quarter split of 1:23.1, Tetrick moved the 4-year-old Western Hero gelding off the back of Meirs Hanover, kicking away at will by four lengths to score a 1:50.3 victory.

Unraced at two and three, St Elmo Hero showed a wicked turn of foot in the last quarter, coming home in :27 to push his career record to 16-for-16.

Tetrick also took a Blue Route split with Real Hero ($3.40, 1:51.2), while Diablo Seelster ($3.00, George Napolitano, 1:51.2), No Monkeys Allowed ($2.40, Yannick Gingras, 1:51.3), and Artlight Hanover ($11.40, George Napolitano, 1:52.2) also were victorious.

Tetrick also visited the winner’s circle in three of the five $25,000 I-95 splits, aboard Riggins ($2.10, 1:51.2), Aliveandwell N ($5.00, 1:51.4), and Schoolkids ($4.60, 1:51), with Yannick Gingras taking the other two divisions with Biletnikoff ($31.60, 1:50.4) and Lucky Bettor ($4.40, 1:51).

With the first round of the I-95 and Blue Route Late Closing series in the books, Harrah’s Chester Casino and Racetrack plays host to a full card of Road to Riches Late Closing races on Tuesday (Nov. 30) afternoon.
