Giddy Up Lucky was a 1:51.1 winner on Monday at Dover.

With Eric Goodell sending Giddy Up Lucky away from the outside to quickly take the lead, the Camluck-Sweet Art gelding held six rivals at bay en route to a 1:51.1 victory in the top purse feature.

The win was the third for driver Goodell and trainer Josh Green, handling the racing assignments for owners David Rovine and Baron Racing Stable. That’s Justice closed with a rush for Vince Copeland to edge Booze Cruzin and Tim Tetrick for second in a tight photo.

Barber Pole took no prisoners in the $32,500 Delaware Special Handicap. Montrell Teague took the lead with the Gary and Barbara Iles bred and owned Badlands Hanover-Pocket Comb 4-year-old, winning for the sixth time this year. Sniper Hall (Mike Cole) had a good two hole trip while Light Up The Sky (Tony Morgan) closed along the inside to finish third.

In the $24,000 3- and 4-year-old Open Handicap, Ron Pierce, who won four races on opening day, executed his second success by guiding Bulletproof Enterprises’ Schoolkids home in 1:50.4, the fastest time of the day on a cool evening. Harlingen Hanover (Roger Plante) closed strongly to finish second with Mystique Cruiser (Eric Goodell) taking third.
