With Brent Holland driving, the freshman trotting colt worked his way from post eight to get the lead in the stretch and win by a length in 2:03.1 over a fast-closing Northern Photo (Classic Photo), who had broken earlier in the race. Third place went to Gem The Prince (Muscles Yankee).

It was the third win in NJSS Green Acres competition and fourth overall in eight starts this year for Quick Deal. His purse earnings were increased to $31,291 for Tyler Raymer of New Ringold, PA, the trainer who co-owns the colt with the Cappy Stable of Bronxville, NY.
