Bickmore wins four straight races at Plainridge

Plainville, MA — It was an exciting day at Plainridge Racecourse as Randy Bickmore trained four winners in a row from the fourth race through the seventh.

Up and coming reinsman Steve Nason and leading driver Jim Hardy enjoyed the day as both scored three baggers on the card. Nason has steadily improved his driving skills and is now in the top ten in wins for the season.

Nason was able to enjoy his three victories courtesy of Bickmore with a victory in the fourth race aboard Channels Dragon ($3.40) in a time of 1:55.3, the fifth race aboard Bolero Loupet ($4.20) in a time of 1:54.2 and the seventh race aboard Formulaone A ($8.00) in a time of 1:54.1.

Hardy won the first race aboard Joel Blue Chip ($24.60) for trainer Joel Wheeler in a time of 1:56.1, the sixth race aboard JC Lou Benjamin ($4.20) for trainer Bickmore in a time of 1:54.2 and the eighth race aboard Pembroke Deluze ($15.20), a horses he also trains, in a time of 1:54.2.

Racing continues at Plainridge on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday with a 1 p.m. post time. Tuesday qualifiers start at 11 a.m.
