Northville, MI — Northville Downs will open for its 2010 fall race meet on Thursday, Sept. 23. Live racing will take place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night through Nov. 20 with a post time of 7:15 p.m. (Eastern).

Opening weekend is highlighted by the Michigan Platinum Series which will be contested on the half-mile oval with estimated purses of $10,000 for each division. All four divisions for the 2-year-olds will be held on Friday, Sept. 24, and the four 3-year-old divisions will be held on Saturday, Sept. 25.

Brand new this season, Northville will be offering a new wager every live race night. It will be a Place Pick 9 and it features a low 15 percent takeout rate. Patrons must select the horse they think will finish first or second in each of the nine legs. On nights that no one selects all nine winning legs, a consolation payoff will be made to those who select the most winning legs, and 75 percent of the daily net pool will carry over to the next racing night. The minimum bet will be $2.00 for this wager and $1.00 wheels will be available. Complete rules and carryover information can be found at www.northvilledowns.com.

On Friday, Sept. 24, and every Friday thereafter, it will be Dollar Night. Northville Downs will offer $1.00 wagering on its live races, $1.00 live programs, $1.00 hot dogs, sodas, and popcorn and $2.00 drafts.
