Monticello, NY — Milton “American Winner” Smith guided Celebrity Yank to a 14 length triumph in a C.K.G. Billings Harness Drivng Championship Series Trot, which marked his first Billings driving victory.

The man behind the former Hambo winner took command on the first turn and never looked back as his 6-year-old Meadowbranch Mike gelding annihilated five others at the Wayne County Fair in Wooster, Ohio on Thursday (Sept. 16). Excellent Caviar and Dave “Linemaster” Ehrenberg was coupled with the winner in the wagering and finished second to Celebrity Yank. Bahama Yankeee and Dean “What Am I Bid” Beachy took home the show dough.

Next Billings action will be at Delaware, Ohio, the home of the Little Brown Jug, on Sunday afternoon (Sept. 19). A total of 27 trotters will go postward in three divisions; races two, four and six on the 18-race card Sunday afternoon. Post time is 12 Noon.
