Winbak sale to be streamed live on internet

Chesapeake City, MD — Winbak Farms will be holding its sixth annual Select Sale on Friday, September 17. The sale will be video streamed live via the internet and open to phone bids for those who cannot attend.

Phone bidders must be registered with Winbak Farm of Maryland before 9 a.m. on the day of the sale. In order to register and to bid call 410.885.3059.

The Select Sale features yearlings eligible to Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Yearlings by Badlands Hanover, CR Commando, Quik Pulse Mindale, Blissfull Hall, Roddy’s Bags Again, and nine other stallions will be sold.

This is the last year to purchase a Badlands Hanover eligible to Delaware, the last chance to purchase a Shotgun Scott yearling, and the first year for Roddy’s Bags Again yearlings. Quik Pulse Mindale will also be featured.

Delaware has a total of 63 pacing colts, 70 pacing fillies, 34 trotting colts, and 28 trotting fillies eligible to the DSBF in 2011 as 2-year- olds. Delaware is estimated to have more than $3 million in purses for the DSBF, which includes two legs, a consolation and $100,000 finals twice a year for each division.
