East Rutherford, NJ — Meadowlands Racetrack fans, horsemen and employees donated 1,529 pounds of food to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey during the track’s annual Kings Super Market Hambletonian Food Drive.

Collection boxes were placed at racetrack entrances from Meadowlands Pace night, July 17, through Hambletonian Day, August 7. Any guest bringing a non-perishable food item for live or simulcast racing received free racetrack admission during that time period.

Since 2003, Meadowlands Racetrack and the Hambletonian Society have partnered with Kings Super Markets to collect nearly 10,000 pounds of food for the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.
