Monticello, NY — Five $13,200 divisions for 2-year-old trotting fillies in the New York Sires Stakes Late Closer program will be featured at Monticello Raceway on Wednesday afternoon, August 18. They will go as races one, two, five, six and eight on the 15-race card that day.

Arguably the most prolific at this time are the standout fillies in the New York Sire Stakes County Fair program. And racing for purses of over $13,000 on Wednesday is welcomed by them all.

In the first division, race one, Peter Stratton’s Frisky TJ, a daughter of Frisky Fighter, comes in with three wins in six starts and in the second race, Earl J. Suave’s Dream Vacation filly, EJ’s Lady Di, is three for three lifetime. Mike Miller will drive the former and start from post seven while Zeke Parker has the assignment behind the latter and will start from the four hole.

In the third split, race five, Harold and Karen Smith’s DW’s Sierra, a Dilbert Hanover filly, has two victories in four starts and John Smiel and John, Gail and Roger Cross’ daughter of Credit Winner, All That Dazzle, is also two for four lifetime. Harold Smith will drive DW’s Sierra from post position four and John Cross will be in the sulky behind All That Dazzle when she leaves from the three hole in race six.

In the final split, race eight, James Ackley’s Iroquoindianspring already has five wins in eight starts. Kirk Desmond will again be in the sulky when the Giant Hit miss leaves from post position three.

First post for the 15-race card on Wednesday will be at 12:50 p.m.
