USTA Golf Outing a success; benefits youth outreach programs

Columbus, OH — A field of 60 played in the 13th annual USTA Golf Outing on Wednesday (August 11) at Foxfire Golf Club in Lockbourne, Ohio. The event benefited the USTA’s youth outreach programs.

The winners in the top flight, posting a remarkable score of 54, were John Clodfelder and Terry Warner. This was the third year in a row that the pair has taken home top honors. The second flight winners were Tom Miller and Jay Kaltenbach, and the third flight trophies were taken home by former USTA Director Glenn Huber and his son Mark Huber.

Proximity trophies were handed out to John Clodfelder who hit the Longest Drive among the men, Rodney Winegardner for Closest to the Pin, Lundy Crownover for Longest Putt and Brenda McCoy for the Longest Drive among the ladies.

Chief among those who help the USTA’s cause were the many sponsors. The corporate sponsors included Anderson Racing Inc. (Joe Anderson), Chester, Willcox & Saxbe LLP, Harrington Raceway, Alan Kirschenbaum, Pennsylvania HHA, Ron Pierce, Tetrick Racing (Ashley Viater and Tim Tetrick) and Tioga Downs/Vernon Downs.
