Shelbyville, IN — Live racing will resume as scheduled at Indiana Downs on Thursday, August 5, at 4:55 p.m. (EDT).

Nationally recognized race track consultant Dan Coon has been working with Indiana Downs Track Superintendant Jim White and they have made significant improvements to the racing surface.

Indiana Standardbred Association President Jack Kieninger and Indiana Downs General Manager Jon Schuster spent several hours together on the actual racing surface Wednesday afternoon and reached a joint decision to resume the normal racing schedule.
