Big Bay Point was a 1:49.4 winner in his CBC elimination.

Big Bay Point went straight to the front in the first C$35,758 contest for the colt pacers for driver Mario Baillargeon and did not look back en route to a sizzling 1:49.4 victory.

The strapping son of Camluck–Great Memories had the field, including previously undefeated Dalhousie Dave, well strung out through splits of :27, :54.4 and 1:22 while building up a sizeable lead at the top of the stretch. Twin B Warrior and Dalhousie Dave both closed well to make it interesting, but were unable to get to the leader who held on for the mild 6-1 upset. Big Bay Point returned $14.10 to his backers.

It was the fifth win in eight starts for the colt since moving into the care of trainer David Menary for owners Weaver Bruscemi and Burke Racing Stable. The winner’s share of the purse boosted his bankroll to just over C$100,000 lifetime.

Future Million used a different approach in the second split, winning from off the pace for driver Keith Oliver in 1:51.2. The son of Million Dollar Cam–Future Champion watched as Grin Big and Rock Me Amastreos got locked up in a third-quarter duel before sweeping past them as the field turned for home.

Once clear, Future Million powered away from rivals to score decisively over Haul Away and Toughest Of All. The winner returned $5.60 as the bettor’s choice.

The win was the second in seven tries this season for the colt who is co-owned by trainer Don Lowes along with Kerry Lowes. The winner’s share of the purse bumped his career earnings to just over C$240,000.

In the opening split for the colt trotters, heavily favored Text Me got plenty of respect on the front end and, after waltzing through three panels in 1:26, the son of Kadabra-Dial Nile was able to hold on for a solid 1:54.3 tally which equaled his lifetime mark.

Text Me used a :28.1 final frame to fend off a closing Dontgetinhisway with Windsong Geant finishing a close third. Sent off as the prohibitive choice, the winner returned $3.70 for the victory.

It was the fifth win in eight tries this season for the Bob McIntosh student who now boasts a lifetime bankroll of just over C$550,000 for McIntosh along with the C S X Stables and Dave Boyle.

The second elimination produced an upset win as Hidden Message took advantage of a third quarter speed duel between favorites Windsun Galaxie and Boogie Woogie by sweeping past late to win for Phil Hudon in 1:54.3.

The gelded son of Kadabra tracked the cover of Windsun Galaxie before vaulting past him to notch his fifth win of the campaign in 11 starts for trainer Emma Frieze. Boogie Woogie was able to hold the place spot with Go Go Red Marty finishing third and Windsun Galaxie fading to fourth.

Hidden Message returned $19.20 for the win. He also bumped his seasonal earnings to over the C$100,000 mark for owner Fintec Stables.

The Canadian Breeders Championship finals will go postward as part of the Maple Leaf Trot undercard next Saturday night at Mohawk.
