by Cheri Stambaugh, Administrator, Maryland Standardbred Race Fund

Union Bridge, MD — The Maryland Standardbred Fund and Sire Stakes have not been cancelled for 2010! There have been several articles in the last few days regarding Ocean Downs cancelling their pari-mutuel meet for 2010. This does not affect the stakes races.

Below is information for horsemen that will be racing in the stakes at Ocean Downs.

1. All horses entering the Ocean Downs facility must have a current coggins (within 12 months) and Equine Herpes Vaccination (within six months). They must be on record or in hand or you will be stopped at the gate.

2. All horses must have a satisfactory charted performance line within 30 days of the race.

3. You must mail a license application to the Maryland Racing Commission; there is no MRC office at Ocean Downs. No license — no check.

4. Please send or bring your W-9 form for races to Ocean Downs. No W-9 — no check.

5. Checks for starting fees at Ocean Downs are to be made out to Ocean Downs: MSF-$150 and MSS-$250
