Anderson, IN — Go On BB and driver Ricky Macomber, Jr. rallied home in second place on Friday, May 28, in the $23,000 Fillies and Mares Invitational Pace. Her second place finish was the highlight of the evening, marking the first Indiana-sired racehorse of any breed to roll over the $1 million mark.

Go On BB was honored in a winner’s circle ceremony on Saturday at Hoosier Park.

Owned by Frank Baldachino for nearly all of her racing career, Go On BB has 50 career wins in 98 career starts. The 6-year-old daughter of Dontgetinmyway has earned numerous year-end awards in Indiana under the care and conditioning of the Burke Stable. Jamie Rucker oversees her training while stabled at Hoosier Park. Ricky Macomber has been her primary driver throughout her illustrious career, winning behind the mare 25 times.

“She (Go On BB) is a real easy horse to drive,” said Macomber. “She is perfect. She has good conformation, a good attitude, and she’s well built. She is easily one of my favorite horses to drive of all time.”

In addition to being the queen of the Indiana circuit, Go On BB has tackled some of the toughest mares in North America. Her biggest win was recorded as a 3-year-old in the $203,000 American-National at Balmoral. She has competed in the prestigious Breeders Crown twice as an older pacing mare. In all, Go On BB has won races over eight different tracks ranging from half-mile to one mile ovals. One of her wins at The Meadows as a 4-year-old in a time of 1:50 stands as her best mark to date.

Go On BB was honored in a special presentation on Saturday, May 29, during Hoosier Cup Night. Her connections walked her down the track to the winner’s circle where she was presented with a blanket. Jeff Smith, general manager of racing, was trackside along with Rucker, Macomber, and her groom, Lori Strah, who took care of her while she was based out of Ohio.

“She (Go On BB) is a pleasure to have in the barn,” said Rucker. “She is perfect in every way and is everybody’s favorite.”

Go On BB will continue to rack up wins and money at Hoosier Park this season. She will work toward a spot in the $100,000 Indiana Sires Stakes final for older pacing mares, set for Hoosier Champions Night on Saturday, July 10.
