London, ON — A new racing schedule and a 10 percent purse increase will greet horse people and patrons as Western Fair Raceway kicks off its Spring Meet on Wednesday, May 5.

Purses were raised 10 percent across the board due to an increase of approximately nine percent in average daily handle during the recently concluded Winter Meet.

For the month of May, the London, Ontario track will race on Wednesday and Friday evenings, with a 7:05 p.m. post time.

Starting next week every race night will feature stakes action culminating with the track’s signature event, the Molson Pace, on Friday, May 28.
