Job seekers and employers gathered at the Harness Racing Museum for the Equine Job Fair.

Nearly 50 job seekers and ten employers, including breeding farms, racing stables and other employers were in attendance.

“I’d say about half the resumes I got were from people who are viable prospects for employment with us,” said Jean Brown of Blue Chip Farm. “And not all of them were looking for full time, permanent employment. Many of them were seeking seasonal, flexible jobs and that is a good fit for us.”

Staffan Lind, who was there with his wife, Marie, is in search of caretaker candidates for Celebrity Farm Racing Stable. “There were quite a few good possibilities. We’re always looking for people, so it was a good opportunity.”
