Goshen Historic Track stallion auction runs through April 15

Goshen, NY — The annual stallion auction to benefit Goshen Historic Track will continue through April 15. With 16 stallions to choose from, the roster offers breedings to studs standing in New York, Pennsylvania, and a number of midwestern states.

New York is well represented with eight offerings, featuring the $2 million winning trotter Sand Vic 1:51.2; the royally bred son of Credit Winner, R C Royalty 3,1:55.1; and Totally Western p,3,1:51.2, a popular son of Western Hanover.

In addition, World Champion Tom Ridge 3,1:50.2 and the swift Yankee Cruiser p,3,1:49.3 are among the four stallions representing the Keystone State.

There are a number of ways to bid on these stallions: Cut out the ad in this month’s edition of Hoof Beats and mail or fax it to the Goshen Historic Track office. Prospective bidders are also encouraged to access the roster on the Web at www.goshenhistorictrack.com and click on the stallion auction link. All funds that are raised through this stallion auction go toward the preservation, improvement and promotion of harness racing at Goshen.

A National Historic Landmark, Goshen Historic Track is located at 44 Park Place in the heart of the Cradle of the Trotter, Goshen, New York. A year-round Standardbred training facility, Historic Track will host Matinee racing on the first three Sundays in June (6, 13, and 20). In addition, The World’s Oldest Harness Track will celebrate 100 years of Grand Circuit racing July 2 through July 5, in conjunction with Goshen’s Great American Weekend. The facility boasts a 2,000 seat grandstand and 20 acre infield which is available for special events, concerts, trade shows, etc.
