Booze Cruzin held off Blissfull Silence by a head in the Dover feature.

In the feature, Tim Tetrick rolled Booze Cruzin away quickly in a field reduced to six when Victor Vuitton N was scratched. After reaching the half in :57, Broekhuis Stable’s Art’s Conquest-Cruzin Suzin gelding sped up the pace before turning on a :27.2 final panel to score his first local win in three 2010 starts since arriving from Chicago. Blissfull Silence closing strongly for Ron Pierce for second in front of That’s Justice and Vince Copeland. Booze Cruizin has now banked $734,359 lifetime.

Solano, claimed for $25,000 five weeks ago, romped to his fourth consecutive victory for Kathleen Wyatt and trainer Johnny Waite, lowering his career speed record to 1:50.1 to win the $38,000 Delaware Special for the second straight week. Mike Cole drove the No Pan Intended-Bloodstock Nihilator 5-year-old who opened up a big lead on the final turn on the way to victory. Kelly’s Spur closed for second with Corey Callahan while Art Director and Brad Hanners finished third.

Delivered From Zin, claimed for $20,000 after back-to-back wins in February by Mike Casalino and Dylan Davis, has won his last four starts with the latest a 1:50.3 lifetime best in the $30,000 Open Handicap. Corey Callahan wheeled Delivered From Zin to the outside on the final turn and rocketed past the leaders for an easy victory. Bad Rusty (Ross Wolfenden) was second with Ideal Trick (Tim Tetrick) third. This marked a double for the owner, trainer and driver.

Threepeat for Autumn Magic at the Meadows

Washington, PA — Taking a page from her own book, Autumn Magic sprinted to the lead, controlled the fractions and held on late to capture her third straight in Monday’s $25,000 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.

On March 29, Autumn Magic took the lead from post six, pocketed Spring Break and downed that rival by a head. It was déjà vu all over again Monday when Dave Palone sent Autumn Magic to the front from post six, leaving Spring Break in the pocket again. After a mild :29.2 second quarter, Autumn Magic had plenty left for a :27.3 dash home. She scored in 1:52.3, a neck better than Spring Break, with Francie’s Dream third.

Kevin McDermott trains Autumn Magic, a 5-year-old daughter of Jenna’s Beach Boy-Swinging Rita, for Fran Azur.

Tony Hall drove five winners and Eric Ledford four on the 14-race card.
