Toronto, ON — Lil Bit Lil Bit wired the field over a sloppy track on Friday night (March 12) at Woodbine Racetrack to make it two straight wins in the Apaches Fame Pacing Series for 3-year-old colts and geldings.
Driver Luc Ouellette sent the son of Rambaran-Little Bit Famous straight to command from post six in the seven-horse field and raced uncontested on the lead through panels of :26.3, :57.2 and 1:27.4 in the single C$20,000 division.
Lil Bit Lil Bit faced first pressure from Terror Time who got within three-quarters of a length of the pacesetter at the top of the stretch. However, the leader used a :28.1 final quarter to hold off an onrushing Brusiers Brother with Milliondollar Art rallying from last at the head of the stretch to grab the show spot in the 1:56 mile.
The winner returned $8.80 in notching his fourth win in seven starts this season for trainer Andrew Deleersnyder and owner Steven Deleersnyder.
The C$60,000 Apaches Fame Series final will go postward next Friday night (March 19) at Woodbine with Lil Bit Lil Bit looking for the series sweep.
